We’re seeking a permanent full-time Sales Manager to join our team in Cochrane, Alberta.

The Sales Manager is responsible for sales team activities, including overseeing sales-related contracts, driving sales revenue, managing customer relations, and monitoring sales performance in relation to financial goals. Of significant importance is supporting, coaching and leading a united sales team that grows the company’s market share, and meets or surpasses their sales targets. The Sales Manager is also responsible for assisting their team in securing large account plans. This individual will also assist the marketing team to prepare and deliver sales materials, and organize and/or attend events and trade shows.


  • Sales & Team Management
  • Set sales team objectives based on corporate revenue goals
  • Manage the efforts and activities of the sales team and ensure they have the tools and sales processes to close sales and meet / exceed sales targets
  • Create training and development plans for sales team members  
  • Set the direction and support the development and growth of distributor, dealer and D2C sales channels
  • Collaborate with the 4iiii marketing team to help distributors and key dealers prepare marketing plans and support them with marketing collateral 
  • Help the sales team compile lists of prospects, and maintain progress in the company’s CRM and develop a method of follow up on all leads
  • Coach sales team during outbound calls/emails to potential and existing customers
  • Manage team through weekly touchpoints, and monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and if necessary, terminate, sales team employees
  • Resolve any customer complaints that get escalated
  • Sales Planning
  • Analyze the effectiveness of current sales programs/processes; recommend and implement changes based on findings
  • Assist the Director of Operations, Sales & Marketing with developing monthly, quarterly and annual sales/distribution strategies and other growth opportunities
  • Execute sales strategy to increase market share, including expansion of distributors and dealers 
  • Assist in annual budget planning (that includes all channels and segments); monitor expenditures throughout the fiscal year
  • Prepare promotion, discount and pricing proposals 
  • Forecasting and Results Analysis
  • Collaborate with the supply chain planning team to build and maintain detailed sales forecasts for distributors and dealers through 4iiii’s ERP system
  • Generate and review weekly sales reports, including sales status, shipping and order fulfillment
  • Review and analyze aftermarket sales results to determine future product developments and business opportunities for aftermarket sales
  • Events, Trade Shows & Marketplace Trends
  • Assist marketing team with developing sales materials, and trade show and event displays
  • Attend trade shows and events, when necessary
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts and other key relationships in order to stay current with emerging market/sales trends to help plan purchases
  • Monitor and maintain marketplace MAP (Minimum Advertised Price), competition, and identify and forecast market shifts and threats
  • Internal/External Relationships & Administration
  • Maintain contracts and relations with distributors/dealer/business partners; help sales team to create deep relationships with dealers and distributors that go beyond a transactional purchase
  • With manager, work closely with production planning to ensure production meets sales demand


  • 3+ years of leading, developing and managing a sales team, preferably in the sports industry
  • 5+ years experience in all aspects of sales including growth strategies, distribution channel and dealer management, account development, sales funnel management, forecasting, reporting and business planning (preferably in the sports/cycling industry)
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing or communications
  • Ability to supervise, train, organize and set priorities for team members
  • Experience developing and driving a positive sales culture
  • Ability to manage and follow through on sales objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of retail, wholesale and dealer sales principles, methods, practices and techniques
  • Ability to examine and revise sales processes, and develop and implement new strategies
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, margin calculations and budgeting processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution and people management skills; always professional
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships across departments and with key business partners
  • Solid experience negotiating and reviewing contracts and agreements with dealers and distributors
  • Experience coordinating and organizing meetings and events
  • Confident. Strong work ethic
  • Healthy appreciation for the cycling industry. A strong willingness to learn and embrace the cycling industry if not already immersed in it


  • 4iiii is based in Cochrane, Alberta; this position is a hybrid one where the individual can work from home and the office
  • Some international travel required
