Position: Sports Marketing Support - Tech
Reports To: Field Team Manager
Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sports Marketing Tech is to 1) Build, maintain, and prepare bike fleet for Demo, GRA, Media / Mkt initiatives and events, 2) Driving, event setup, and maintenance support of various demo vehicles, 3) Warehouse inventory support of bike fleet, demo / event items, and Sports Marketing (Sortly) inventory items, 4) Support and Execution of various Marketing Initiatives.
Job Execution Responsibilities:
Demo Tech:
· Bike Fleet Pro-build, preparedness, care, and inventory tracking of Demo, GRA, Media fleet bikes at NP; all pre- & post- maintenance as per Demo schedule
· Provide Bike Technical service at events including activating Demo Bike procedure and service.
· Assist Lead Technician in managing Sports Marketing Demo bike fleet & Demo procedure for NP Staff
· Participate & complete Giant Brands NPD Product training yearly to prepare for next generation Bikes & Gear
· Participate & complete in technical Suspension, Drivetrain/Brake set-up & service training yearly
· Assist Field Team Manager (FTM), Lead Technician with Tech Shop updates.
· Assist Lead Technician in managing Sports Marketing Demo bike fleet & Demo procedure for NP Staff
· Work with Lead Technician with Warehouse storage and inventory counts on all Event materials and bikes; keeping all inventory current and shareable with Mkt Dept. & keeping all related branding up to date. (Sortly / Axapta).
· Support in inventory management and warehouse organization at NP office.
· Work with Field Team Manager and/or Lead Technician in activating Giant & Liv ride Demo Procedures and plan at events.
Demo / MKT Event Support:
· Maintain Driver Licensing to legally operate Demo Vehicle (Truck and Trailer)
· Drive Demo and Expo Truck and Trailer to Demo, Expo, GRA events and execute the event
· Assist / lead setup and tear down of Expo trailer and Demo trailer when needed.
· Assist FTM and Lead Technician with Physical Vehicle Upkeep (Taking vehicles in for maintenance, moving vehicles to and from storage and around HQ, detailing, etc.)
Job Qualifications:
· Advanced bicycle technical service proficiency (Brake bleeding, frame up builds, maintenance, etc.)
· Experience driving large vehicles safely and comfortably (Vans / truck and trailer 50+ feet long)
· Experience maintaining a log book and observing work/rest requirements and conform to federal HOS laws
· Willingness to be away from home for 1-4 consecutive weeks at a time. (Driving to and executing events across the country)
· Must be a highly proficient written and oral communicator
· Exhibit self-sufficiency, go getter attitude.
· Must have own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
· Must be willing to be subject to a thorough background check
Status: Non-exempt - full time position
Travel: Domestic 30% - 60%
Location: Based out of Giant USA Corporate office, Newbury Park, CA / No remote opportunity
