AR Staff Accountant

Position: AR Staff Accountant

Reports to: Controller

General Summary:

We are looking for a smart, humble, and hard-working individual to maintain the Accounts Receivable for Yeti Cycles. The position will work directly with the Controller and Accounting Supervisor to oversee Yeti’s financial needs. The ideal candidate will have a general accounting background and strong understanding of the outdoor industry. The ability to understand the larger financial picture and handle confidential information is critical to this position. We are looking for someone who cares about the details and performs critical thinking to ensure we are collecting from customers while still delivering product to our dealer and distributors.

Essential Job Functions:

• Post Cash, Check, ACH, and Credit Card Payments, assist customers with invoices and account questions, and send payment reminders and statements to delinquent accounts

• Work closely with our outside credit and collections group

• Create and distribute invoices to customers and sponsors

• Maintain Cash Handling Procedures: Petty Cash and Front-of-house Sales

• Credit approval of inventory allocations to dealer network

• Monitoring and updating existing credit limits of dealer network

• Working with sales department to ensure smooth product flow from order booking to invoice collection

• Special projects as assigned – annual financial audit, physical inventory, annual tax prep and filing assistance, budget preparation, intermittent work with independent accounting firm on various accounting related projects and other tasks as assigned

Job Qualifications, Competencies, and Key Attributes:

• College degree or equivalent experience

• General Accounting and Accounts Receivable/Collections experience

• Strong understanding of outdoor industry market trends, preferably bike industry

• Strong written, communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Experience working with foreign currency exchange

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Familiar with Microsoft PowerBI Platform

• Syspro or other ERP system experience

• Cyclist with a strong preference for fat tires

Compensation Range:

• $45,000-55,000, annually – depending on experience
