Cane Creek’s Events Ambassador/ Marketing Coordinator is an extroverted communicator who enjoys meeting people from all disciplines of cycling, and communicating how our products can enhance their rider experience, because we believe riding bikes makes life better, so we work to make bikes better.

You will be responsible for representing the brand at events, races and community activities and as such, are well-spoken, organized and interested in hearing what others have to say about cycling, trails, products and other relevant topics and then letting your co-workers know what the buzz is.

When not engaged outside the office, you will also work in-house with the rest of the marketing team to help implement new and current marketing programs and initiatives, engage with customers on social media and help Cane Creek drive dynamic growth into undeveloped territories.

Day-to-Day Tasks and Responsibilities May Include:

·      Engaging with riders in the field at community events, races and tradeshows and gathering intel on trends, products and overall knowledge of the brand. 

·      Providing timely overviews and reports on information gathered from said events, races and trade shows.

·      Setting-up, maintaining and presenting the Cane Creek Tour Van and materials in a professional and approachable manner. Being on-time and prepared for all events whether in-house or in the field.

·      Learning and maintaining technical knowledge on Cane Creeks products and components.

·      Attracting potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services; providing product, promotion, and pricing information.

·      Participating in all marketing efforts and campaigns; product launches, product campaigns, brand awareness, etc..

·      Recommending potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.

·      Reporting any information garnered from the field regarding failures or concerns to the Brand Manager.

·      Working in tandem with the marketing team and other departments to assist on campaigns to bring new products to market.

About you:

You are eager to learn, happy to talk to all types of people and share a passion for cycling in all its forms. You also have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and needing minimal supervision. Your written and verbal communication skills are stellar and you do not shy away from last-minute changes and ad-hoc requests to meet challenging goals. You want to be part of a team that strives to see continued growth and progress and gets to benefit from said growth in our profit-sharing program. 

·      College Degree preferred but not required.

·      Demonstrated success in relevant prior work experience.

·      Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time to events, trail heads and retailers, with weekends and evenings prevalent during the season (April-Oct).  

·      Efficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task, self-organize and manage time.

·      Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to talk to anyone.

·      Strong desire to truly provide an exceptional experience for all current and potential customers you come in contact with. 

·      Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for multiple hours at events.

·      Mechanically inclined – cycling mechanical skills preferred but not required.

·      High energy team player with strong skills.

·      A love of cycling and industry knowledge is preferred. 

·      This job is based out of our Fletcher, NC facility and is not a remote position.
