The position calls for someone who can maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Working individually and as part of a team, extended standing, and some heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more may be expected. Maintaining a positive, helpful attitude is imperative in this position. Flexibility and a willingness to help in any way possible are needed in our small, dynamic team environment.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a deep understanding of Lean principles and the “why” of standards
  • Previous cycling industry experience is preferred; likes the hands-on gemba approach to management
  • Previous management experience is required with an ability to gain alignment to tough growth targets keeping a Lean structure
  • A positive and professional attitude and a consistent work ethic, must be self-motivated and a team motivator in a shop/warehouse and office atmosphere
  • Previous experience working in a production type environment preferred
  • A passion for working in a high growth business is critical as the pace and expectations of the culture require a commitment to excellence
  • A passion for success, a positive and friendly attitude, and a consistent work ethic are all a must
  • A passion for the outdoors.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Managing a Production department in bicycle remanufacturing, including monitoring and reporting on productivity, organization, planning, and scheduling
  • Daily participation in a proactive team environment focused on continuous process improvement
  • Work with other Operations departments to ensure production targets are met
  • Responsible for all products leaving the department meeting processing and quality standards
  • Lean, agile approach to high growth targets; ownership of all aspects for department achievement of growth in people, process, and systems
  • Record and disseminate feedback across all departments while taking a proactive solutions-based approach to defect resolution and efficiency improvements

Qualifications
