PRODUCT MANAGER 

SHREDLY is a women’s mountain bike and outdoor apparel company that combines art and fashion to create beautiful performance and lifestyle apparel. Our goal: to ignite excitement for adventure using an artful approach to technical design. We are female founded and operated, community driven, sustainably minded, and on a mission to offer women and girls of all shapes and sizes the best selection of technical apparel.

The Product Manager will play an integral role in bringing our products to life. Working directly with the owner/designer, this role is the primary liaison between SHREDLY and its third-party vendors (contractors, suppliers, agents). The position is responsible for contributing and overseeing parts and/or entirety of the development and production process including (but not limited to) planning, sourcing, costing, development, production, and fulfillment.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES (things you would tackle)

·       Overall management of development and manufacturing of apparel and accessories, from sampling, through production to final delivery of goods

·       Actively participate in assortment planning, forecasting, procurement, inventory management and reporting

·       Engage in daily communication with vendors and agents, cross-functional teams, and related partners

·       Work with cross functional teams to ensure products meet or exceed our product performance and functionality standards

·       Ensure deadlines are met and issues resolved to meet in-house target dates for product and effectively communicate to internal and external partners status of development, production, approvals and deliveries as needed 

·       Review, create, and co-manage all tech packs for accuracy

·       Daily maintenance of internal tracking documents, files, spreadsheets, etc.

·       Build, maintain, and nurture vendor relationships

·       Attend or facilitate in-person fittings as needed, provide solutions to achieve product expectations on aesthetic, fit and function of styles

·       Measure and review proto samples based on submitted tech pack

·       Review, document and communicate changes, test results and requirements of samples to vendors

·       Travel domestically and internationally as needed


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE (tricks you have up your sleeve)

·       Must have knowledge of the total product development process, including garment construction, costing, fabric, fit evaluation, basic pattern making, concept to commercialization/production, including logistics and import processes

·       Ability to communicate and implement process improvement plans at factory & team level

·       Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills related to physical product design, construction, and production 

·       Proven innovative thinking and the ability to use sound judgment to resolve problems, engage cross-functional teams when necessary to maintain timely delivery of goods

·       Willingness to go above and beyond by diving into the details, improving products and processes, helping out wherever necessary

·       Champions innovation and improvement to products and processes where needed 

·       Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written skills, as well as thorough and accurate communication and follow-up 

·       Maintain core responsibilities with minimal supervision and be accountable for work commitments and outcomes

·       Proactively organize & manage daily workflow that adheres to seasonal calendar milestones & development timelines

·       Can wear many hats and prioritize well, clearly conceptualize, organize, and execute ideas

·       A team player with the ability to adapt and thrive in a small business environment


REQUIRED SKILLS + EXPERIENCE (you know it and aren’t afraid to show it)

·       Skilled at specification documentation (tech packs), technical illustration (Adobe Illustrator)

·       Ability to work with quantitative and analytical data to make decisions, and use for planning and forecasting

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Google Docs

·       4-Year Bachelor's degree

·       3-5 years of experience in the outdoor apparel industry 

·       Outdoor enthusiast a must, mountain bike a plus
