About Fairhaven Bicycles

Mechanic Position

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities are to communicate with customers regarding service inquiries in person, via phone and by email; create work order tickets; assist with scheduling service appointments; perform service on work order tickets; build new bikes; perform safety checks on sold bikes; process warranties. 

Qualifications

Experience servicing Specialized and Shimano e-bikes or willing to study and test via SBCU and S-Tec prior to hire.

Demonstrable ability to perform the following: routine suspension service, wheel building, Di2 and AXS system diagnosis. Specialized/Brose and Shimano system diagnosis (or willing to study and test prior to hire).

Positive and courteous attitude; patient and team oriented.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Including the ability to direct customers through their service scheduling options.

Must be available 3-5 days a week including one weekend day.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Sales Position

The Sales position is responsible for greeting customers in person, by phone and occasionally by email. Listening to customers and asking questions that help guide them through the bicycle shopping experience. This position will also assist with inventory maintenance, social media content and restocking the sales floor. This is a year round position with the opportunity to grow into a management position.

Qualifications

Five years of Sales experience at a Bicycle Retail Store.

Year round position with the opportunity to grow into a management position.

Must be knowledgable about Specialized and Santa Cruz E-Bikes.

Must be positive and open to casual conversation with customers.

Must be available on the weekends.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
