You will join an in-house ERP team to support our new ERP system, SAP.  As part of the team, you will work closely with the technical team and business process owners (BPOs) as the sales and distribution Business Systems Analyst. You will be using your BA superpowers to drive the creation of new business processes and capabilities enabled by our ERP.

In this role, you will maximize the benefits of the ERP, increase adoption to new and improved processes, and provide ongoing support.  This will involve managing demand for new capabilities involving business process improvement, data quality by leveraging application software capabilities including application integration, ad-hoc queries, and reports. You will ensure day to day frontline business support, refine current processes and suggest improvements. You will also support the outbound logistics team with a recent EWM (Enterprise Warehouse Management) system implementation and support the sales team with system improvements where needed.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Identify, document, and drive resolution for software gaps and new capabilities
  • Research and implement best business practices for all resource resolution
  • Use your knowledge of SAP software capabilities and transaction processing to manage the software configuration settings that is right for the process
  • Work with Functional Analyst to configure the software and create documentation
  • Develop end-user training materials and train sales and distribution super users and end-users on the new capabilities 
  • Support communication between teams in order to gather requirements and provide possible system solutions
  • Provide input on all system improvement projects for sales and distribution and ensure regular status updates to BPOs
  • Create standard operating procedures with input from your co-workers
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and support system cutover activities for new features
  • Perform ad hoc queries and load data for sales and distribution

Competencies and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with emphasis on sales and distribution modules 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology or similar field is preferred, MBA is preferred but not required
  • Experience in configuring and implementing an ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to master the sales and distribution modules and understand how to configure it to meet business process needs
  • Ability to map out desired future state that addresses a business problem
  • Positive energizer, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to produce user stories, requirements specifications, design documents, configuration documents, test scripts, use cases and other software documentation
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team consisting of both technical and non-technical members where functionality is designed and released on a bi-weekly basis
  • Ability to present complex technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments
  • Background in sales or distribution is preferred but not required
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred but not required
  • End-to-end ERP implementation experience is preferred but not required

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
