RACER was founded in 1927 in France, at the heart of the country’s tannery valley. After a trip to New York, Mr. Hubert Patault, the founder, wanted to give his brand an internationally recognized name. Inspired by skiers racing down mountains, the name RACER was born, with the creation of the first mountaineering glove in France.
Over the years, the company expanded its expertise into other collections and gradually built a reputation as a premium manufacturer, offering high-quality, comfortable, and performance-driven gloves and protectives.
Today, RACER 1927 relies on its heritage with cutting-edge technology to deliver products that are unrivaled in durability, protection, and style. New product lines focus on four main categories: gloves and protective gear for skiing, cycling (mountain biking), motorcycling, and equestrian activities.
