Hi, I'm Courtney, outdoor enthusiast, mom of two boys, life-long learner and lover of mountains!

Aspiration: Aspiring Trailblazer

What key experiences and influences shaped your path to where you are today?

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of connection, growth, and impact. My journey began in recreation and tourism—as a ski instructor, zipline guide, canoe river guide in New Zealand, outdoor guide for school kids in Hong Kong, and ski patroller on Blackcomb Mountain. These roles helped me develop a deep appreciation for building strong, dynamic teams. Progressing through leadership roles in ski school and eventually into Learning and Development at Vail Resorts, I discovered the transformative power of communication and purpose in creating thriving cultures.

My entrepreneurial path was inspired by mentors who encouraged me to lean into vulnerability and becoming a mother in 2019, which showed me how STRONG I am. Starting Courtney Marchment Coaching in 2022 was equal parts terrifying and fulfilling—the biggest leap of faith I’ve ever taken, and one I wouldn’t trade for anything.

What would you say is the key to succeeding in what you do?

Three things:

  • Clarity (knowing what I want and envisioning my future)
  • Connection (understanding my truth and what truly matters through my core values)
  • Bold action (moving forward even without all the answers)

True success comes from deeply understanding your vision, values, and purpose, then aligning your actions with them. Equally vital is building authentic relationships—whether with clients, teams, or yourself. That’s where the real magic happens.

What piece of advice would you give to yourself ten years ago?

“Stop doubting yourself.” Trust the process and lean into your intuition—it’s more powerful than you think. Don’t wait to have everything “figured out.” Just jump in and start. You’ll always find your way when you trust yourself. Every risk you take is a chance to grow and learn—don’t let fear hold you back.

What's next for Courtney?

My mantra for 2025 is, “Do it because you love it and see what happens.” I’m focusing on expanding my leadership programs for organizations, working with highly creative and innovative teams. I’m also growing group coaching programs for women in leadership.

One of my dreams is to build a collaborative team that supports the work we do in elevating the consciousness of individuals and teams. I’m also looking forward to hosting more backcountry coaching retreats—combining nature, self-discovery, and strategy is truly my sweet spot!
